How To Create Free iTunes Account

itunes_10_iconMany new iPod Touch 4 users are stuck a t creating a free iTunes account required to download and install Free or Paid apps from the app store of Apple. Many of you guys are unaware of the fact that registering with Apple and creating an itunes account is free and you don’t need you enter your credit card information in oder to create an account.

Note : You can use your Free  iTunes Account to login and play games on Game Centre.

Here is the tutorial to create a free iTunes account without requiring a Credit Card. Just follow the steps to create yourself an itunes account that you can also use to login into GameCentre , which allows multiplayer games on your Ipod Touch 4.

Steps-by-step guide to make free iTunes account :

  1. Download and install iTunes 10 on your PC – MAC
  2. Launch iTunes and on top of the nav bar choose Store
  3. In the drop down menu choose Create Accountitunes_10_1
  4. In the next screen press continue and let iTunes connect to Apple servers. Make sure you are connected to the internet before iTunes can make you an account
  5. In the next step scroll down through the terms and condition and press continue to proceed
  6. Create your Apple ID and enter all personal details as shown in the screen below.itunes_10_2
  7. This is the important step when you are asked to enter payment method for buying paid apps. Since you don’t need to make any purchase of apps and want to download only free apps from the Apple App store , you can choose “None” as shown in the image below [top right of your screen].create free itunes account
  8. Here you complete the registration process. Itunes will now ask you to verify your email address. Just click on the confirmation link sent to your inbox and you will have a free itunes account.

That’s pretty much it. Now you can start downloading free ipod touch 4 apps on your device by accessing app store on your ipod touch. Remember to login using the username password as entered during the registration process , before downloading and installing free apps from the Apple App Store.     Which country must you select to get this option?
    I have tried Belgium and US. It gives other options of payment, but not the option I want.

    yes, till now there is no facetime call for 3g user. coz, it hard for me to find wifi all the way. since i;d already subscribed to my local data service provider, hopefully there is an apps which can use facetime via 3g network. In cydia, there is My3G which is paid subscriptions. i’d already paid for my data subscriptions, why i should pay again for facetime call

    I have created a free iTunes account but every time i try to download a free app from the app store to my jailbroken iphone it tells me “Before you can make purchases, you must tap Continue to sign in, then verify your payment info.”
    and if I try to download via iTunes on my PC it works.
    How can I download directly from my iPhone?
