Facetime on Ipod Touch 4 : Front Camera
The front-facing camera on iPod touch 4 can record still pictures and videos at lower resolution [VGA] , just like we have seen on iPhone 4. This camera is introduced by Apple to allow Face Time calls between iDevices [iPod,iPhone,iPad]. Below is a sample Screen Shot of the video quality as seen on new iPod Touch.

Here is a Sample Facetime Call Video you can watch , to alanyse the quality of video calling compared to iPhone 4. The iPod touch is so slim , there is not enough space for the camera module to fit in [as shown in the teardown review by iFixit] .
Rear Camera :
The rear-facing camera is not that powerful like the one we see in iPhone 4 . This little champ can record 720p videos @ 30 frames per second and manages still images of 720 x 960 pixels size. Think its pretty decent for $229 compared to $600 + iPhone 4.
